**About the Company**

Davidson are a preferred supplier for the government sector and have strong partnerships within local, state and federal government. We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Principal Policy Officer to commence a temporary contract until 30 June 2023.

This department invests in Queensland’s innovation and tourism sectors to drive economic growth and create jobs in our regions to help Queensland recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.

They also empower Queenslanders to enjoy physical activity to improve their health and wellbeing in active communities, through grant funding, infrastructure and planning, events and world-class venues.

**About the Role**
- Manage and lead projects to ensure successful development and timely delivery of the department’s strategic legislative and policy initiatives, including the preparation of associated supporting policy and technical documents.
- Interpret and analyse legislation and review policy proposals (including Cabinet submissions) and provide high quality and timely written and/or verbal advice regarding any implications.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with officers in other government departments to achieve efficient whole of government policy development.
- Undertake research and prepare and review Ministerial and other correspondence, reports, briefings, Cabinet Submissions and Executive Council documents.
- Lead by example in ensuring you demonstrate the agreed to principles of honesty, trust, accountability, transparency, and inclusiveness.
