Eden Ritchie is seeking 2 x Principal Policy Officers with strong research, written and verbal communication skills to join a fast-paced and high performing team supporting an independent Review of the Department.

  • 3 month contract with possible extension
  • Brisbane CBD location

As the AO7 Principal Policy Officer, the ideal candidate will have the following

  • Superior writing skills such as a journalist or editorial background, with proven ability to prepare reports and briefings for both public and government purposes, presenting complex information in easy to digest formats;
  • The ability to undertake in-depth desk-top and scholarly research into an issue, present findings in non-technical language, and draw conclusions, including any implications or options for consideration;
  • High level organisational skills for delivering projects within short timeframes, involving multiple internal and external stakeholders; and
  • The ability to engage and consult with internal or external stakeholders on complex matters and represent diversity of viewpoints in reporting on consultation.

As the AO8 Principal Policy Officer, the ideal candidate will have the following

  • Outstanding writing skills such as a journalist or editorial background, with proven ability to take a lead authoring role in preparing reports and briefings for both public and government purposes, presenting complex information in easy to digest formats;
  • High-level ability to synthesize desk-top and scholarly research into an issue, present findings in non-technical language, and draw conclusions, including any implications or options for consideration;
  • High level organisational skills for delivering projects within short timeframes, involving multiple internal and external stakeholders; and
  • Strong experience in engaging and consulting with internal or external stakeholders on complex matters and representing diversity of viewpoints in reporting on consultation.
