About the role

This exciting role is aligned to the delivery of allied health assistant interventions as part of a multisite MRFF research study (HIPSTER trial) and will be primarily based at Box Hill Hospital.

You will be responsible in assisting physiotherapists with their acute bed based patients as part of the physiotherapy musculoskeletal team in the provision of best practice patient care as well as non-clinical duties that support the efficient operation of a busy afternoon demand. This is a great opportunity to build and develop your skills across the year.

About you

**To be successful in this role you will possess**:
Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance is required (academic transcript of completion required) if applicable

Previous experience working as an Allied Health Assistant or equivalent essential

Experience within an acute bed based hospital stream is desirable

Highly developed interpersonal skills and communication both written and oral

A strong commitment to high quality care

The ability to work as part of a diverse team

Excellent time management and organisational skills

Selection Criteria

**Essential**: Completion of Certificate 4 (Allied Health Assistant) from a registered training organisation including training modules in Physiotherapy

**Essential**: Experience as an AHA, either employed or as a student, or Allied Health Professional student working in a healthcare setting

**Essential**: Australian citizen or current Australian working visa

**Essential**: Well-developed verbal and written communication skills to enable liaison with the multidisciplinary team including effective clinical handover

**Essential**: Completion of training modules as an AHA in Physiotherapy or currently undertaking of same for Allied Health Professional students
