We provide a range of emergency, surgical, medical and general healthcare services, including maternity, palliative care, mental health, drug and alcohol, residential care, community health and state-wide specialist services to people and communities that are diverse in culture, age, socio-economic status, population and healthcare needs.

The Department of Anaesthesia at Eastern Health requires an additional VMO anaesthetist on Wednesdays to provide leave cover. Position is temporary part-time, and is currently funded until 30th June 2024. Applications from new or existing Eastern Health staff are welcome.

Selection Criteria

**Essential**: Appropriate and unrestricted specialist registration with AHPRA

**Essential**: Appropriate clinical experience and training in Anaesthesia.

**Essential**: Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA) or equivalent qualifications to enable recognition as a specialist anaesthetist.

**Essential**: Participation in appropriate continuing professional development program.

**Desirable**: Demonstrated experience in teaching of medical students, HMOs and registrars.

**Desirable**: Teaching experience of other clinical staff - nursing and allied health.

**Desirable**: Exposure to research practices and principles.

**Desirable**: Familiarity with clinical information systems.
