This opportunity exists for a high calibre, motivated individual to join our Paper & Recycling logistics team, managing tactical logistics planning operations, maintaining systems, interfacing with suppliers and both internal and external customers.

You will contribute to the success of Opal by:

- Establish and manage Logistics Planning process to ensure timely supply of paper products from Botany and Maryvale mills to internal and external customers in Australia and New Zealand.
- Manage tactical Logistics operations on a daily basis ensuring 100% compliance to vehicle and carrier availability plans.
- Manage the Export logistics process combining material availability and production scheduling with collection and delivery of empty containers, packing and delivery to vessels to meet Vessel Sailing dates and customer DIFOT.
- Develop and publish daily, weekly and monthly reports highlighting operational performance and adherence to plans and targets.
- Maintain strong daily communication with Production scheduler, Export team and Customer Service in order to maintain efficient supply of material and containers.
- Drive positive outcomes and behaviours and reduce overall operational risk level through strong process and risk mitigation management.

Specifically for this role, you will have;
- Excellent understanding of physical logistics (transport, warehouse, 3PL) management.
- Understanding of end to end Supply Chain and Logistics operations.
- Team player, willing to roll up your sleeves and be part of our team.
- Understanding OHS&E standards and legal requirements and responsibilities.
- A proven ability to effectively communicate at all levels and lead a team successfully.
- SAP or other ERP systems (Dynamics, Oracle, JDE etc) preferred, but not essential.
