**About the role**:

As the Equine Teacher, you will be creating a safe and supportive learning environment for all students undertaking the Certificate III in Equine Studies VETDSS (VET Delivery to Secondary Schools) and adapting teaching materials and delivery to maximise the opportunities for training and increase employability for our students

You will be delivering innovative sessions to engage students and support their goals in becoming qualified in their chosen field This is a fantastic opportunity to support the students who are keen to learn from passionate teachers

The Teacher Equine Studies is part of Science and Animal Studies, an organisational unit within The Faculty of Health, Disability, Community and Animal Sciences that delivers a wide range of teaching and learning programs at local and international campuses.

This position is expected to work at Elgar, City or Lilydale and across any campus of the Box Hill Institute as required.

**About You**:

- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE) or a qualification at diploma level or higher in Adult Education is essential
- Qualification of AQF3 or above in an animal or equine qualification and or coaching accreditation is desirable
- Extensive vocational experience in the equine industry
- Passionate about your industry and share your knowledge and skills
- Strong communicator and ability to support students to achieve their learning goals
- Ability to demonstrate skills & knowledge utilising a wide range of learning resources and assessment tools that would ensure a successful training program
- First Aid certificate also desirable
