**About the role**
We are looking for an IT Support Officer to join the ATO Account based in Canberra on a permanent full-time basis, as a member of this team there is a rostered on-call requirement to assist with after-hours activities.
The IT Support Officer works with the Manager - Service Operations and the service operations team to undertake the day-to-day deliverables required to support the service through to our customers within their agreed SLA.
This role will see you support one of our federal clients locally by providing a high level of customer service, utilising administrative, coordination and problem-solving skills, to meet the customer’s requirements and SLAs. This is a great opportunity to develop skills across multiple areas of a Federal Government environment and IT Service Management.
This work involves queue and ticket management, actioning standard administrative functions, inventory coordination, freight, hardware and software MACs (Moves, Adds and Changes); as well as coordinating standard/minor customer projects through to completion.
**Applicants must be Australian Citizens.**
**You will have**:

- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in customer services within a large corporate Information Communication Technology (ICT) environment utilising a ticket management system.
- High levels of verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate to a diverse audience (e.g., technical staff & management)
- Solutions approach when dealing with difficult customer situations
- Microsoft Office skills e.g., Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Good time management skills and attention to detail - ability to manage and prioritise multiple workloads in a deadline driven environment
- Ability to effectively contribute to a team environment and work autonomously when required
- Australian Citizenship with the ability to gain and maintain a Security Clearance
