**About us**

**Discover Impactful Work**
- The Head of Quality Control is an authority in their field and is regarded as such within and outside Patheon Biologics.
- You will lead a diverse department of 50 people, ensuring the high quality and on time execution of raw material, product release and stability testing, analytical method validation and microbiological support to the site.
- As a member of the Quality team, you will have the opportunity to learn and work with a global Quality Management System, Quality Control and analytical development network.
- You will support our customers by leading insightful client communications throughout project, from proposal stages to release and commercialisation of new medicines.

**A day in the Life**:

- Responsible for inspirational leadership of the site Quality Control organisation.
- Coordinates, leads, and ensures the successful, robust and efficient day-to-day operations of the Quality Control teams, including control and oversight of material consumption ands pending against department budget.
- Hires, coaches, develops and motivates staff within the QC team.
- Lead hands on problem solving efforts and root cause investigations to resolve deviations related to the quaity control. Includes the ownership of quality records as required.
- Lead client experience and ensure timely and appropriate response to all client requirements.
- Demonstrate a strong focus on continuous improvement. Lead improvements to workflow, resource, or process gaps
- Ensures continuous readiness and support for health authority and client audits and inspections.
- Collaborates globally withing the biologics business unit and the extended wrold wide Quality Control function.

**Education**
- Tertiary degree in Science or Engineering (biology, biotechnology, biochemistry, chemistry)

**Experience**
- Quality control leadership experience in biologics preferred.
- Knowledge of FDA/EMA regulatory requirements applicable to biologics is preferred.
- Strong MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills.
- Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills, including strong attention to detail.
- Excellent writing, communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to analyze and summarize complex scientific data.
- Excellent organization, planning, and time management skills.
- Self-motivated, willing to learn, independent and a proactive driving force of efficient execution.
- Ability to work constructively on a team and adaptable to function in a changing environment
