**Position summary**
Join our dynamic team as a Trading Executive, where you'll play a pivotal role in driving the growth of our Steel Products Division. Your primary responsibilities will include identifying new business opportunities through continuous market research and analysis, managing client relationships, and ensuring efficient contract and inventory management. You will prepare and negotiate competitive quotes and contracts, oversee their execution, and maintain meticulous records to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.

In this role, you will support daily inventory operations, conduct site inspections, and present detailed status reports to management. You'll act as a liaison between subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to streamline processes and resolve operational issues. Engaging with both internal and external stakeholders, you'll foster relationships with industry experts, regulatory bodies, and local partners to stay informed about policy changes and compliance requirements.

Your expertise in market trend analysis, contract negotiation, and inventory forecasting will be crucial in mitigating risks and ensuring the business remains compliant with industry standards.

**About the role**
- Continuously monitor market trends, competition, and emerging opportunities to identify and develop new business prospects for both new and existing products in the assigned territory.
- Provide detailed market insights and analysis to inform strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with management to shape marketing strategies, including product offerings and pricing strategies tailored to market demands.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with key customers and subcontractors, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Prepare, submit, and negotiate competitive quotes, tenders, and contract proposals, ensuring alignment with company objectives and customer expectations.
- Oversee the execution of sales, purchase, and inventory contracts, ensuring timely delivery and fulfillment.
- Proactively identify risks or issues related to contract execution and collaborate with relevant departments to mitigate potential disruptions.
- Maintain meticulous records and documentation for all contractual and transactional activities to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Support daily inventory operations, including forecasting, stock monitoring, and reporting, to ensure optimal inventory levels.
- Conduct occasional site inspections within Western Australia and Northern Territory to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational efficiency.
- Prepare and present detailed status reports on inventory levels, supply chain performance, and operational KPIs to management.
- Act as a liaison between subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to streamline processes and resolve operational issues.
- Actively engage with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and alignment across all business activities.
- Foster relationships with industry experts, regulatory bodies, and local partners to stay informed about policy changes and compliance requirements.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to enhance the company's visibility and drive business growth.
- Ensure strict adherence to all company policies, industry regulations, and compliance standards.
- Actively participate in risk assessment activities, identifying potential risks in market operations and developing mitigation strategies with senior leadership.
- Stay updated on relevant legal and regulatory changes in the steel industry and ensure the business remains compliant.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a trading, sales, or marketing role.
- Experience in the steel industry, with a solid understanding of steel products, supply chains, and customer needs.
- Tertiary qualifications in business, marketing, international trade, or a related field.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, influencing decision-making at all levels.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting to senior management and clients.
- Strong financial acumen, with the ability to analyse complex financial data, create forecasts, and report on market performance.
- Demonstrated knowledge of contract management, pricing strategies, and sales negotiation processes.
- Proficiency in using CRM systems, inventory management software, and other business analytics tools.
