Fire Panel Technician

We are seeking a Fire Panel Technician responsible for technical assistance to services for integrated electronic fire protection/warning solutions and technology systems.
The role will work with detection and Emergency Warning System, Wired and Wireless detection and alarm devices and addressable Warden Intercom Systems, including installations, maintenance, fault diagnosis, testing & repairs.
The role will also provide assistance with technical support and estimation on fire protection/warning solutions and technology systems for large install projects (ie: Residential apartments and commercial buildings).
**Duties**:
Carry out maintenance diagnosis fault finding testing and breakdown repairs of integrated electronic Fire Protection /warning /alarm solutions and systems.
Inspect and test systems to ensure all systems components are performing well and comply with safety requirements.
Review installation manuals building plans and work orders to plan optimal locations for system components.
Identify and repair malfunctions in system components including ordering and installing replacement parts as necessary.
Ensure fire alarm systems are compliant with current regulations.
Qualification Experience skills:
Experience in fire alarm and security industry
Networking experience with fire and security systems or other desirables
Technical skills in diagnosing and fault finding fire and evacuation system and alarms
Understanding of integrated fire systems with the ability to perform and report on annual tests of fire systems
Ability to read electrical technical drawings and blueprints
A good understanding and working of Australian standards
Willing and capable to carry out diagnosis, fault finding and breakdown repairs on fire protection systems
Good problem-solving skills
Ability to work unsupervised and self-manage stock and equipment necessary to carry out duties
Have good presentation and work ethic
Good communication skills
Pay: $75,000.00 per year
Schedule:
