**The Role**:
This position involves working as a Casual Administration/Research Assistant for the CONNECT Research and Training Initiative at the University, as well as collaborating closely with academic staff within the School of Psychology.

**To be successful, you will have**:

- Minimum of 1 years’ experience in an administrative or similar role.
- Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to produce clear and accurate communications that are appropriate for their intended audience.
- Proven capability to work positively and effectively as part of a collaborative work team, to accommodate and work well with different working styles and to work independently where required.
- Demonstrated ability to organise and plan, and to meet rigid and conflicting demands and deadlines, along with the ability to adapt to changed priorities.
- Proven computer literacy skills, including use of Microsoft Office suite, with attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to learn new computer systems and databases with ease.

Selection Criteria

- Experience within the University sector, preferably in health research.
- An interest in the field of trauma, relationships, violence prevention or addiction.
- Knowledge and understanding of University procedures and regulations.
- Understanding of research methods within the field of Psychology.

**Your key responsibilities will be to**:

- Providing high quality and accurate administrative support to the staff within the CONNECT Research and Training Initiative University.
- Administrative support for a number of research and teaching projects within the School of Psychology.
- Extensive written and verbal communication with the School of Psychology and external collaborators.
- Manage meetings and conferences, including organising room bookings, catering and invitation lists.
- Maintain the day to day administration duties for Directors, including calendar appointments.
- Organise travel bookings including flights, car hire, accommodation and itineraries.
- Maintaining the Professor’s CV, updating when needed.
- Any other duties as directed, commensurate with the scope and classification of the position.
