**ABOUT THE ROLE**

Applications are invited for the position of Deputy Head - Students and Community at the King’s Preparatory School. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, organised and relational leader who is committed to enhancing all aspects of the students and community portfolio. This position is responsible to the Head of the Preparatory School for leadership in creating belonging and a connected environments for the students and staff for the delivery of high-quality health and wellbeing programmes.

Please note, this is a fixed-term full time opportunity commencing Term 2, 2023 for the balance of the 2023 school year at The King's Preparatory School in North Parramatta.

The successful applicant will have:

- An inherent understanding of creating connectedness and belonging for students and staff in a Preparatory School context
- Experience in teaching across the board from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 6, in a variety of schools
- Contemporary knowledge of positive education principles, human flourishing initiatives, legalities of human relationships, health and well-being and legislative compliance
- A genuine passion for encouraging young people to reach their potential and goals
- An ability to develop strong relationships with students, staff and parents, with a passion for boys’ education
- Experience managing challenging, complex and ambiguous situations effectively and objectively
- Proven experience as a team player
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A high level of collaborative practice
- A commitment to professional learning and continuous improvement
