Deputy are looking for an Education Content Writer to research, create and maintain education content for our customers.

In this role, you will help us create quality, effective, engaging, industry-leading education content that will enable our customers around the world to use the Deputy platform competently and confidently to solve their business needs.

You will be a translator, taking (at times complex) technology and concepts and crafting the content into everyday language.

You will utilise your knowledge of adult learning principles and experience in designing learning materials and pathways to help us deliver outstanding learning experiences at scale.


Deputy is on a mission to Simplify Shift Work and yYou will be an integral part of the Deputy Education Team, and will collaborate with Deputies across the Product, Marketing and Customer Success teams (and more).

This is a newly-created role in a newly-created team, so if you enjoy taking initiative, strive to become an expert, and get a thrill from creating 'Aha moments' for learners, this could be the role you've been searching for.


What you'll do:

  • Be a translator
  • Use language expertly to craft customer education resources (training video scripts, customer guides, LMS content, etc) that are engaging and effective
  • Collaborate with training delivery and learning design to ensure education videos embody the Deputy voice, comply with Deputy language standards and style guides, deliver accurate information, and solve customer needs
  • Continually update and reiterate education resources as needed by editing/polishing existing content to improve engagement
  • Create resources and content with the view that they are able to be curated and repurposed for different customer segments/learning paths, internal enablement, partner training and education content marketing
  • Stay on the pulse with our core customer segments to ensure we're creating and prioritising content that serves our customers' needs through in depth research and develop original content
  • Assist with Education Team responsibilities in line with company needs

How you'll do it:

  • 1+ years of experience in creating adult learning materials or copywriting experience
  • Excellent command of language and ability to communicate complex ideas with clarity, brevity and flair
  • Collaboration and cooperation with a global team, even when working on your own
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment and handle multiple projects concurrently
