**About UniSA**

The University has long been engaged in the education and employment of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples. This commitment was pioneered by our antecedent institutions and continues on in our ambition to be the University of Choice for Aboriginal Peoples in South Australia and beyond. In 2014, we were the first university in South Australia to launch our own Reconciliation Action Plan. This and subsequent Stretch Reconciliation Plans, have been led by the commitment of the University’s Enterprise Leadership Team, offering real opportunities to deepen the respect and relationships between Aboriginal Peoples and the University community. These form the framework for cultural change to deliver better opportunities and outcomes for Aboriginal staff and students. Among our core principles is a commitment to both excellence and equity, founded on the belief that true equity can only be achieved by enabling greater access to high quality opportunities. The University’s strategic vision reaffirms our commitment to Aboriginal Peoples. We are committed to improved graduate outcomes in a range of professions where Aboriginal Peoples are currently under-represented, and to increasing the representation of Aboriginal Peoples in both academic and professional staff roles.

The University of South Australia is Australia’s University of Enterprise. Our culture of innovation is anchored around global and national links to academic, research and industry partners. Our graduates are the new urban professionals, global citizens at ease with the world and ready to create and respond to change. Our research is inventive and adventurous, and we create new knowledge that is central to global economic and social prosperity.
