**The Role**
- We have a 12 month, max term, opportunity available for an experienced Regulatory Relations Manager who is looking to join a passionate team with a new mandate. In this role, you will be responsible for the proactive management of our regulators, in particular ASIC and APRA, including responding to their requests with a focus on accuracy, completeness and timeliness. You will also review and enhance regulatory interactions across the organisation to ensure the team proactively manages relevant relationships in an efficient and effective way.**Key Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for proactive management of our Regulators.
- Support the delivery of the new Regulatory Engagement Framework and Procedures
- Co-ordinate business responses to Regulator requests to make sure there is focus on accuracy, completeness and timeliness.
- Responsible for helping to build a strong and highly regarded Regulatory Relations team within the Risk Management team.
- Work closely with the rest of the Risk Management team to ensure that we embed good governance in an effective and efficient manner.
- Regulatory reporting and communication - responding to regulator queries and ongoing relationship management.
- Prepare reports where required.
- Undertake and assist with regulatory reviews as required.

**To Be Successful in This Role You Will Possess**:

- Postgraduate studies in Risk, Compliance and/or Finance (well regarded)
- Demonstrated experience in risk and compliance management roles in complex financial services organisations or other highly regulated industries
- Thorough understanding of regulatory framework as it applies to a complex Australian financial service provider.
- Experience preparing reports for Boards and committees.
- Requires detailed understanding of ASIC and APRA and relevant financial services laws and landscape in Australia.
- Ability to drive change through regulatory compliance engagement with the business, systems, processes, and people.
- Ability to work effectively with clients, internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Analytical thinker.
- Experience in working in complex businesses undergoing significant transformation and remediation.
- Demonstrated skill & experience in building trusted relationships with Regulators and business.
- Ability to impart knowledge and experience through coaching.
- Ability to drive behavioural and mindset changes with key stakeholders.
