As a Technology Assurance and Controls Specialist, you will provide a controls assessment service for technology controls (System controls and Automated Process Controls) to protect shareholders, customers, and bankers. You will play a crucial role in identifying and assessing key controls and assurance activities that mitigate key business risks, aligning with the organisation’s Operational Risk framework.

Drawing on your background in auditing, your responsibilities will include:
Collaborating with business stakeholders to identify tangible control deficiencies and providing guidance and recommendations for effective remediation actions.

Cultivating a culture of curiosity within the team, encouraging them to question the status quo and actively seek opportunities for continuous improvements that enhance business operations.

Assisting in the forecasting, management and execution of key work-streams related to key controls testing, leveraging your auditing expertise to ensure comprehensive evaluations are carried out.

Your auditor background will be instrumental in conducting thorough assessments, ensuring adherence to established controls, and contributing to the ongoing improvement of the control environment.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role you will bring the following:
3 to 5 years of experience in risk management or audit within the IT domain, preferably with an auditor background

Ideally possess relevant technology control assessment qualification such as CISA, CISSP, CISM, ITIL, CPA/CA

Knowledge of IT General Controls and Application Controls, gained through previous auditing experience

Familiarity with frameworks and standards like COBIT, ISO27001, NIST, PCI DSS, SOC, ISM, CPS220, CPS234, CPG234, APRA Risk Attestation, I.AM (Identify Act Monitor Framework)

Understanding and exposure to operational risk frameworks, methodologies, policies, and practices

Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders to develop operational risk management solutions

Strong desire to identify and assess control deficiencies and contribute to enhancing the control environment

Interest in understanding how our customers and bankers integrate proactive and sustainable controls into their daily activities

Analytical mindset to identify opportunities for process improvements and risk mitigation

Willingness to challenge the status quo, think differently, and foster innovation

Analytical, flexible, and curious mindset

Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build relationships and effectively communicate audit findings
