**About the Role**:
The Aquatic Programs Supervisor develops and administrates water-based programs at the Aquatic and Fitness Centre at our Footscray Park campus. They oversee both staff and programs, working alongside the Sport Facility Coordinator to shape the overall direction of the aquatic area within the facilities. Acting as the primary contact for both internal departments and external organisations, they foster partnerships and develop programs to ensure they provide maximum benefits to VU staff, students as well as general community.

**This is a full-time fixed term position at a HEP 5 classification, salary $73,852 (per annum) - $84,831 (per annum) plus 17% superannuation, classification working 36.75 (1.0 FTE) hours per week.**

**Duties**:
Some of the duties you are expected to perform are:

- Implement, supervise and monitor all Aquatic Programs, including the Learn to Swim, School’s Swim and Community Aquatic programs, to ensure that they are professionally delivered and meet industry standards.
- Recruit, train and supervise casual swim teachers and work placement students, ensuring appropriate guidance and support is provided and is consistent with VU’s policies and procedures.

**About You**:
The Supervisor needs to effectively equip team members with information, instruction, training and supervision to enable them to work safely, as well as, empowering them to effectively service the client base with aquatic programs. They will need to collaborate with the Sport Facility Coordinator in developing and implementing projects and collaborations that ensure the financial viability of the Centre. This requires the incumbent to be able to effectively prioritise work demands and deliver objectives within established guidelines.

There is a scope for the Aquatic Programs Supervisor to demonstrate initiative and an expectation of the ability, at times, to work independently and present decision-making skills and pro-actively resolve issues within the work area, seeking expertise and guidance when required.
