About the role
The Principal Project Officer is responsible for the review of the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline and resources. Together with another Principal Project Officer and Manager you will lead the development and provision of advice, resources and professional development to promote the effective implementation of the guideline throughout Queensland.
About the team
The Policy and Resources Development Unit has three teams who are focused on supporting school and curriculum leaders and teachers throughout Queensland to implement the K-10 curriculum and assessment. Our aim is to support services and schools throughout Queensland through the design and implementation of high K-10 quality curriculum and assessment.

**Your key responsibilities**:
**In this role you will**:

- lead or participate in project teams to revise the Queensland kindergarten guideline, develop advice, resources and professional development materials to support implementation
- provide expert advice to the Manager and the Director on issues related to early years education and transition to school
- collaboratively plan and deliver professional development
- lead and manage projects within timelines, using allocated resources and involving officers across the office of the Authority and external participants
- create and maintain professional relationships between the Authority and key stakeholders
- participate in a range of forums in relation to the work of the organisation
- prepare briefings, correspondence and reports
- contribute to a change management and performance development culture by participating in regular two-way feedback discussions with your manager and colleagues, and through the implementation of an individual Performance and Development Plan (PDP).
