About the Role

The ParentsNext Facilitator is responsible for a caseload of participants who have been referred onto the ParentsNext contract to engage with participants to attain with career objectives for sustainable employment and/or training or educational opportunities.
This will be achieved through job focused activities, individual and group training and support, and customised interventions. The ParentsNext Facilitator will also be involved in approaching businesses for prospective employment opportunities for participants, promoting participants to employers, building relationships with employers, introducing participants to employers, assisting participants to prepare for interviews, job trials, or similarly related activities; as well as following up with employers and external stakeholders once participants are placed into employment or education and creating ongoing relationships.
Employment facilitator will actively engage with the community and community organisations to create and establish referral networks to increase client referrals and participation into the Parents Next Program.

Essential Criteria
- Certificate IV in Employment Services, Career Development, Disability Services, or other similar qualification, desirable or be willing to work towards.
- Case management and experience interacting with job seekers both in groups and also one-on-one
- Customer centric approach and the ability to work towards customer service standards, KPIs, and targets
- Good working knowledge of local, state and national labour markets
- Proven business development, sales or marketing ability including excellent communication skills, high level negotiation skills, and persuasive ability
- Strong ethics, accountability, and integrity
- Ability to show empathy
- Previous community engagement, or similar role within the Employment Services, or complementary sector is DESIRABLE
- Previous experience working in the Employment Services sector and an understanding of working with and creating opportunities for job seekers is DESIRABLE
- Previous experience working in the Employment Services sector and an understanding of working with long term unemployed job seekers is DESIRABLE
