**Precinct Planner - NSW Government Department**
- Start Date: 22/05/2023
- End Date: 10/11/2023
- Pay Rate: $412.00 p/d + Super
- Location: McKell Building, Sydney CBD (once a week in the office/ WFH)
- Hours of work: 8 hrs p/d / 40 hrs p/w

**Primary purpose of the role**:
The Precinct Planner is responsible for supporting and coordinating initiatives to enhance the liveability of the allocated Innovation District and to improve its attractiveness as a destination of opportunity for talent development and business growth. The role engages and collaborates with a diverse set of government and non-government stakeholders to inform initiatives across the District.

**Key accountabilities**
- Support the team to embed and promote a high performance and customer-focused culture to deliver place-making initiatives that increase the liveability of Tech Central.
- Develop collaborative partnerships across government and external stakeholders to deliver excellence in relationship management and consensus building for high impact place-making.
- Support the implementation of the District’s place-making vision through contributing to identified initiatives and assisting in the identification of new initiatives.
- Support the provision of advice to Government project teams on key externally led placemaking projects across Tech Central to ensure they embed the success factors for fostering a thriving innovation ecosystem.
- Engage and collaborate with stakeholders to support the building of Tech Central’s strategic identity as an innovation district through contributing to and participating in community engagement and other initiatives
- Coordinating the delivery of a diverse range of programs and activities that push the status quo and challenge stakeholders to deliver collaborative, innovative and cutting-edge programs.

**Requirements**:

- Must have Planning or Design experience
- A understanding of Government approvals and processes.
- Good communication skills.
