**The Opportunity**
This is a unique full-time permanent position, for a Development Assessment Planner / Town Planner to join a friendly, supportive and experienced team at Wollondilly Shire Council. This opportunity offers a hybrid working arrangement; from their office in Picton (South-West Sydney), to working from home, to attending inspections. Working for one of the fasted growing Peri-Urban Councils in NSW

**Key Accountabilities**
- Providing professional, efficient and accurate advice to builders, developers, and local residents - tailoring your communication style to suit the audience
- Preparing quality comprehensive reports and correspondence on development matters to facilitate timely decision making and outcomes
- Attending Local Planning Panel meetings, presenting and responding to enquiries regarding DA’s and recommendations.
- Assisting with the preparation of briefs and Statements of Evidence, providing expert evidence representing Council in the Land & Environment Court of NSW.

**About You**
Successful applicants will meet the below criteria:

- Degree qualifications in Town Planning, Urban Planning or related discipline.
- Working knowledge of the Environment Planning and Assessment Act 1979 and NSW Planning Legislation.
- Valid Class C Drivers Licence.
