Carlton Draught has been serving our nation Brewery Fresh Beer for generations and now the spiritual home of Carlton Draught is looking for an experienced Venue Manager to continue to lead the draught crew across operations and customer experience.
Conveniently located across the road from the iconic Abbotsford Brewery, the core of this role comes down to driving the team in order to create an exceptional customer experience. This will allow us to re-enforce the true heritage of our brands.
The Carlton Brewhouse provides a comfortable and relaxed indoor experience, beer garden, and is also the start and finish to our Abbotsford Brewery Tours.
Beer is the foundation of social networks and we can achieve more by bringing more people together, more often. To do this you and the Draught crew need to understand and strategise on how we can continue to facilitate bringing people together.
**YOUR ROLE**:
- Take pride in understanding the latest concepts and trends in hospitality to ensure we continue to stay relevant
- Develop and own processes for operations for the venue
- Lead the Duty Manager and casual Draught crew in day-to-day operations
- People, performance & training
- Financial P&L Management
- Policy & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with brand & corporate guidelines as per CUB processes
With 3 direct reports and a flurry of Draught Crew, this role will allow you to truly hone in on your leadership qualities. You will be responsible for their professional development with the support of the Brewhouse HR advisor.
**About You**
You will have a strong hospitality background and be able to understand and execute the successful inner workings of a venue. Curious, bold, and resilient with a real passion for our brands and people, you will be empowered to lead real change and grow our venue. As the leader of our venue, you’ll be a natural communicator who can engage customers and bring enjoyment & connection to all interactions.
Other key success indicators we’re looking for include:
- Two years experience in a similar role
- Strong commercial acumen with an excellent financial understanding of wage costing & P&Ls
- Proven success in leading a large team
- A valid RSA
