**About the Role**
The Manager, Student Belonging and Communications welcomes students to the Faculty of Business and Economics, helping to foster connections with staff and student cohorts to help transition to university life and ultimately succeed in their studies. This position will develop and implement strategies and initiatives that support students in their transition to and experience at university, while leading a team of experts and collaborating with academic and professional staff across the faculty to provide an integrated service offering. The role encompasses a range of activities, including orientation and transition programming, mentoring, academic advising, and student clubs, to achieve the University and Faculty’s goals and vision.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Manage and deliver a first-class student orientation, transition, and engagement program through leading, integrating, and providing strategic and operational advice relating to the delivery of these experience functions
- Actively realise the execution of the Faculty’s student belonging strategy, ensuring that program design and service catalogue is fit-for-purpose
- Develop and maintain links with external networks of peers and relevant professional associations as well as participate in relevant internal communities

**Who we are looking for**
We are seeking someone with current knowledge of student experience and belonging initiatives who can bring ideas to this exciting position. You should be able to develop and implement both strategic and operation plans, and provide high level advice based on them. You're able to utilise your outstanding communication skills to build strong, working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Your eye for continuous improvement will serve you well to constantly find new and innovative ways to make processes more efficient.

You will also have:

- Postgraduate qualifications with extensive relevant experience; or extensive experience and management expertise; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Proven management and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and lead staff to work with a student-centred and industry-responsive orientation, including during periods of program evolution and change.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise and influence a range of internal and external stakeholders.
