**The opportunity**

The Manager Regional Operations manages frontline compliance and enforcement actions across the EPA's legislative responsibilities to protect the environment and human health, and coordinates incident management.
- We are looking for an experienced leader to lead a team of 3 direct reports and 20 to 30 officers, to operate independently on a day-to-day basis but has an agreed work program using established policies and procedures.
- The role is required to provide advice to the Director Regulatory Operations, other region/section managers and officers within the Branch, and EPA senior management team on environmental matters, prepare briefing notes, early alerts and make recommendations.
- The role makes day to day decisions required to supervise multi-disciplinary staff, and is responsible for developing and negotiating performance agreements with the section’s staff.

Regulatory Operations Metro is a dynamic team of environmental regulators that protects people and the environment from harm, manages incidents and maintains a specialist sampling capability.
Regulatory Operations Metro responds to significant environmental issues in the Greater Metropolitan Area and provides state-wide services to help manage and respond to incidents.
