**About the Role**
We are seeking a **Payroll and Finance Officer** to join our Finance Team. In this newly created role, you will ensure accurate and timely payroll and accounts receivable services, supporting the school’s operations with high standards of compliance and efficiency. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will manage end-to-end payroll, maintain records, oversee invoicing and debt management, and assist with financial reporting and audits.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Process fortnightly payroll, including onboarding, terminations, superannuation payments, and leave.
- Oversee accounts receivable, including setting up family accounts, issuing invoices, and managing overdue accounts.
- Support the Finance Manager in operational finance tasks, including reporting, reconciliations, and audits.
- Provide guidance on enterprise agreement interpretation and support compliance with regulatory standards.
**Selection Criteria**
- Active Christian faith and regular attendance at a Christian Church.
- Demonstrated commitment to the vision, mission and values of WCCS including the Statement of Faith.
- Diploma in Accounting or equivalent qualifications and experience in a relevant field.
- Substantial experience in payroll and accounts receivable with proficiency in finance systems (e.g. Xero) and the Microsoft suite.
- Current Working with Children Check and commitment to child safety in an education setting.
- Substantial skills and experience in:
- Planning and organising

- Delivering results and meeting customer expectations
- Adhering to principles and values
- Working with people
