**About the role**:
Based at Council’s Leisure Centres, the Administration and Engagement Officer works to effectively support and promote the functions, services and programs of the Leisure Services section. This role is a job share arrangement, working Monday’s and Friday’s of each week.
The role comprises of two important components. One area of responsibility involves coordinating the sections social media platforms and web pages, working with the sections leaders to manage customer feedback, manage customer surveys, develop graphic concepts, implement communication materials and work the Communications and Marketing team to manage the Marketing Plan.

The Administration and Engagement Officer also provides administrative support for the Leisure Services section by assisting with a wide range of administrative duties including accountable payable and receivable, meeting minutes, statistical data reporting and data entry, as well as, review, distribution and recording of the Leisure Services formal documentation including forms, procedures and policies.
- Demonstrated knowledge Leisure industry services and programs.
- Certificate III in Business Administration and/or job-related administrative experience
- Current Resuscitation Certificate highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in a quality customer service environment, with excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated experience in coordinating effective and timely responses to customer feedback, including identifying areas for improvement and growth within the Leisure Service’s section.
- Considerable experience in managing social media and website platforms.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion and diplomacy at all times.
- Time management skills and ability to organise work effectively.
- Ability to work unsupervised as well as demonstrated ability to function as part of a team.
- Working with Children Check (a verification will be conducted on recommended applicants).
- COVID-19 Vaccination or Medical Contraindication Certificate upon commencement.
- Commitment to role modelling our values of respect, integrity, trust, teamwork and optimism.
- Certificate IV in Marketing and Communication and/or job related experience is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated knowledge and skill in the use of Adobe software, in particular InDesign, Adobe Acrobat and Illustrator is highly desirable.
- Considerable marketing and communications experience in the aquatic, fitness and indoor sports industry or relevant setting is highly desirable.
