The opportunity
- VPS Grade 6.1 role, earning $130,673 - $152,772 per year plus super
- Lead a multi-disciplinary team responsible for rehabilitation services including delivery of criminogenic and psychosocial programs.
- Oversees the provision of practice guidance to operational staff to enable them to manage complex behaviours in custody.

The Clinical Manager, Rehabilitation and Behaviour Support, reports directly to the Senior Manager, Rehabilitation and Outcomes, and will lead a team including a Senior Clinician - Adolescent Practice Lead, Clinicians - Adolescent Practice, a Practice Lead and Behaviour Support Specialists to deliver evidence-based criminogenic and psychosocial programs and provide practice guidance and support to operational staff and direct interventions with young people in relation to the management of complex behaviours in custody.
To be successful in this role, you will have leadership and stakeholder management qualities with a focus on innovative service delivery and the acumen to build capability across your team.
It is also a requirement of this role that you have general registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
A full driver's licence is required due to the need to be able to work flexibly across both custodial precincts, based on operational requirements.
A current employee Working with Children Check (WWCC) card is required and will need to be provided prior to commencement of employment by the applicant. Currency will need to be maintained by the employee for the period of employment.

About the Parkville Youth Justice Precinct
Parkville is a 136-bed youth justice facility located in the inner northern Melbourne suburb of Parkville. The facility accommodates boys and young men and girls and young women aged 10-17 years on remand and when sentenced. Since January 2024, the facility also accommodates young people on the Dual Track system, aged 18 -21 years old.
Parkville is a safe and secure place where young people can work on getting their lives back on track, supported by evidence-based programs and services. We want young people to return home with the confidence that they can thrive in their own communities.
