The library service sits within the Arts & Libraries department of the Community Services division. There are five main branches based in Clayton, Glen Waverley, Mount Waverley, Oakleigh and Wheelers Hill, and Mulgrave Neighbourhood Library situated within Wellington Road Community Centre.

**About the Position**:
The role of the Library Engagement Officer is to develop high quality and engaging digital content (video and still) for library social media, website and print materials for library service as well as:
Creating campaign concepts and ideas that are inspirational and offer value for the Library Service

Analysing performance metrics and making data-driven recommendations to optimise content reach and engagement; and

Maintaining an organised library of assets, ensuring easy access and retrieval for the library promotions team

**About you**:
Creative mindset and the ability to think outside the box, generating unique ideas to capture the attention of diverse audiences

3+ years’ experience in videography and content creation

Developed proficiency in use of the Adobe Creative Suite and other relevant design tools and software

Demonstrable broad portfolio of work, including showreel

Excellent time-management, organisation and planning skills

Self-motivated and a keen eye for detail

Team player who welcomes ideas from others and is prepared to work collaboratively, provide their own ideas and share information

Able to work under direction and keep to design briefs

**Requirement of the position**:
Qualifications in Graphic Design and/or Screen Media or, significant industry experience

Well-developed and demonstrated experience creating digital content across web, online video sharing and social media platforms.

Proficiency in video and animation software within the Adobe Creative Suite

Ability to create digital layouts.

Ability to create vector illustrations.

Understanding of colour theory in print and digital assets.

Proficiency in current and developing trends in provision of digital marketing and promotional services.

Experience in a library setting is well regarded

Employee Working with Children’s Check (if applicable)

Satisfactory National Police Check; and

Other pre-employment checks may be required depending on the role requirements
