The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) is the peak representative organisation for general practice, the backbone of Australia’s health system. We set the standards for general practice, facilitate lifelong learning for GPs, connect the general practice community, and advocate for better health and wellbeing for all Australians.

**The opportunity**

The National Rural Faculty support health outcomes in rural, regional, and remote Australia, and work to ensure an appropriate distribution and rural readiness of the general practice workforce. Our Rural team implements contemporary workforce services, including rural education, and support for rural GPs via initiatives, such as the Rural Procedural Grants Program. This program provides grants for education of GPs who perform eligible procedural services to patients in rural communities.

In this critical Administration role, you’ll provide administrative services to the RACGP Rural Faculty Council, Education Committee, Faculty Chair, RACGP Rural Manager, and support the daily activities and functions of the rural team.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Provide administrative services for the RACGP Rural Manager, Faculty Council, Education Committee and Faculty Chair.
- Coordinate the administration of Faculty elections, awards, and meetings in line with Faculty regulations and policies.
- Coordinate incoming and outgoing correspondence with rural members, Council members and rural stakeholder.
- Support the administration of the Rural Procedural Grants Program
- Understand the guidelines for RPGP and when required, assist with the administration of the RPGP, including claims and calls.
- Assist members who represent RACGP Rural on committees and ensure they are prepared to represent the RACGP.
- Assist in the planning and implementation of the RACGP Rural Council, Committee and annual member meeting including preparation of agenda and meeting papers.
- Respond to enquiries from members and stakeholders and arrange relevant meetings.
- Oversee payment or financial invoices and professional services claim forms.
- Coordinate team meetings, Council and Committee, including agenda creation and subsequent meeting minutes.
- Organise staff, Council/Committee member and stakeholder travel.
- Publish Rural Health Webinar Series webinars as on demand (organise transcript, upload video to YouTube, publish in Kentico)
- Add events to internal events calendar.
- Member meet-ups - Source and book venue, organise catering & drinks and venue set-up, publish event in iMIS, monitor registrations & create attendee sign in sheet, create run sheet, send flyer directly to local members, practices and stakeholders.
- Social media - publish posts through Hootsuite.
- Ordering of supplies and shipment of equipment for workshops
- Work with the Education coordinator to organise, prepare and submit facilitator Statement of Works (SoWs) to ensure member facilitators are paid for representing the rural faculty.
- Comply with all relevant workplace policies and procedures.
- Other duties as required.

**You demonstrate**:

- Experience in providing secretariat and administrative support to committees or board.
- Excellent written communications skills, with demonstrated experience in agenda preparations, minute taking and drafting correspondence.
- High level of interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and capacity to work with databases.
- Ability to plan, organise and establish own work priorities to manage a complex workload.
- A post-secondary qualification.
