Business Development Executive

**About Local Freight**:
Local Freight is a well-established and progressive family-owned transport company servicing Metro Brisbane, Central and North Queensland. We have a company owned fleet of 60+ well-maintained trucks and trailers. We carry a wide mix of general freight including various types of constructions materials, timber and agricultural supplies.
We are currently seeking a Business Development Manager to help us increase our freight volume. This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing team.
**Duties and responsibilities**:
As a business development executive, your primary responsibility is to drive growth and profitability for our company by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. If you possess a proven track record and expertise in a similar position, this challenge will undoubtedly pique your interest. Your duties will encompass, but are not confined to:
- Primarily developing new business opportunities in Brisbane and surrounds. Develop and present compelling sales pitches to potential clients, outlining the benefits of our freight services.
- Maintain and grow relationships with established client base. Nurture and maintain relationships with existing clients to ensure their satisfaction and loyalty.
**Skills and experience**:
Aside from your strong communication skills, you will be commercially astute, and you will also require:
- Prior experience in the Transport and logistics industry will be regarded highly.
- Proven experience as a Business Development Executive or in a similar role.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in market research and business analysis.
- Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Taking a hands-on and proactive approach to nurturing and developing strong customer relationships with existing and new customers to ensure repeat trade.
- Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
