**About The Role**

As our new Operational Risk Advisor - Third Party Recoveries & Settlements, you will support the Recoveries and Settlements leadership team to deliver our risk management strategy. You will ensure Recoveries & Settlements complete and comply with all elements of the risk management framework.

You will:

- Coordinate and facilitate the delivery of specific training and development initiatives designed to strengthen risk management activities, and facilitate workshops for risk & control identification
- Advise and lead the development, implementation and ongoing review, testing and assurance for A&G’s Business Continuity Framework
- Identify, assess, and document operational risks, including Incident Management and Risk Profile analysis, ensuring Risk Assessments are in place for the Department that you are responsible for
- Develop and maintain risk registers, heat maps, and other risk management tools and conduct root cause analysis, identify lessons learned, implementing corrective actions and remediation plans as required
- Manage the response to regulator requests and regulatory change, leading the incident response effort, ensuring timely and effective resolution
- Support and represent business in BreachCos, ensuring effective collaboration and communication
- Support development and implementation of risk mitigation strategies, controls, and procedures and improve internal risk controls, detection and response capabilities
- Perform risk assessments for data protection, supplier management and risk management programs and monitor the management incidents, audit actions and treatment plans

**What experience you’ll bring**
- 2+ years of experience working within a similar position, with experience in the financial services industry, preferably general insurance, desirable
- Ability to build and sustain effective relationships, with strong negotiation & influencing ability with excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong background in Incident Management, Risk Profile and Risk Reporting
- Demonstrated understanding of the legislative, regulatory and compliance obligations to operate in FSR environment & proficiency in regulatory & compliance obligations relating to GICOP, Privacy, Corps Act and Claims Handling, RG271 and Complaints Management, CPS 230
- Exposure in Third Party Risk Management is highly desirable
