About the Opportunity

As our Area Sales Manager, South, you will oversee the sales operation in Victoria, Western Australia, South Australia, and Tasmania. Most importantly, you will be guiding and leading a team by example for the next phase of our growth.

You will operate on a strategic level as well as playing a hands-on role in the field. You will work closely with colleagues and partners ensuring we achieve common success and growth. You will lead a sales team whilst maintaining our vision and core values at the forefront. In addition, you will handle a number of national accounts and act as a professional interface between the accounts and Axis to deliver exceptional experiences for our partners.

This position is based in Melbourne and there will be a requirement to travel domestically and some international travel.

Key responsibilities
- Develop clear business plans for the region and team, and providing input to adjust the plan over time and fine tuning to suit market conditions
- Develop strategies to strengthen relationships with partners
- Responsible for implementing the business plan and manage the tactical plans as well as key account plans in order to secure both short and long term revenue
- Managing and growing the regions sales team
- Responsible for creating a positive and open feedback culture in the team
- Driving growth and solutions expansion within region
- Working collaboratively with all internal stakeholders including Marketing, Innovation and Supply Chain to develop product innovation and improvements aligned to customer requirements.
- Conduct monthly sales reviews with sales team.
- Reporting on activity as required including market, sales pipeline, opportunities and risks.
- Reviewing and reporting on market trends and competitor activity, including maintaining an awareness of movements and day-to-day developments within all industries (and competitors) associated with our products.

Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Experience developing sales strategy and business plans
- Experience leading and mentoring a high performing team
- Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with indirect sales, preferably in a technical sales position from the IT or Security industry
- Able to function efficiently in a fast-paced environment
