About NAPCo

The North Australian Pastoral Company (NAPCo) was founded in 1877 and is one of Australia's leading cattle companies, managing over 6.1 million hectares and home of Australia's First Carbon Neutral Beef - Five Founders. NAPCo employs approximately 220 staff operating across Queensland and the Northern Territory, with 13 cattle stations, a Depot in Mount Isa, a Feedlot and Farm in the Darling Downs and an office in Brisbane's CBD. Due to the ongoing commitment made to safety by NAPCo, they are seeking an experienced HSE Partner to assist with the implementation of new projects of work, along with general HSE support to the broader business.

Your next role

In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and managing HSE programs and initiatives that align with NAPCo's mission and values. In addition to your HSE responsibilities, you will also have the opportunity to work on various projects, taking a hands-on approach to ensuring their success. Specifically, you will:
Ensure compliance of frameworks, policies, procedures and systems with relevant regulations and standards;
Work closely with leaders across the business to upskill their capabilities surrounding safety to ultimately enhance the safety culture;
Develop and implement new initiatives and programmes of work across the business;
Manage incident investigations, corrective action plans and data control;
Work collaboratively with the HSE Coordinator to ensure accurate, quality and consistent data across all systems and databases;
Oversee the external training providers whilst conducting training needs analysis', scheduling of training and record keeping;
Conduct audits and inspections of all sites and systems within the organisation; and

Contribute to innovative projects, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget and to the required quality standard.

About you

To thrive in this role, you will be a self-starter who has a genuine passion for safety. Being a collaborative and approachable HSE Partner, you will have exceptional stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to establish effective working relationships. You will also have:
Experience advising on HSE within a similar industry;
Proven ability to influence, coach and engage with stakeholders at all levels and in remote locations;
Experience in a similar HSE Advisor / Partner position looking at the next step in your career;
Tertiary qualifications in WH&S and Environment or a related discipline desirable;
Have exceptional written and verbal communication skills; and

Have a strong understanding of HSE regulations and standards, with experience in developing and implementing HSE programs.
