AECOM's Geosciences and Remediation Services workgroup has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Hydrogeologist/ Hydrogeochemist to join our Melbourne team.

This role will allow you to work as part of a dedicated team of experienced professionals on a diverse array of high-profile projects across Victoria and interstate. Our client base extends across a range of sectors, including, mining, transport (road/rail/ports/air), water utilities, energy, oil and gas, government (defence), and urban renewal property. Projects include groundwater resource investigations, conceptual hydrogeological models, groundwater contamination assessments, mining impact assessments, and technical assessments for Environment Effects Statements. This role will involve a mix of field and office work.

**Job Description**:
**A day in this role will involve**:
+ Undertaking and planning site investigations, collating and analysing groundwater data, and preparing factual and interpretive reports.

+ Providing support to other technical specialty teams within the Geosciences and Remediation Services workgroup.

+ Managing field and office tasks with an emphasis on health and safety.

**Qualifications**:
**Ideally, you will have**:
+ Previous experience (ideally 3 to 5 years) in a similar role including experience in hydrogeological and environmental projects.

+ Field experience in a broad range of investigation techniques.

+ Strong oral and written communication skills and technical report-writing capabilities.

+ Tertiary level qualifications in Geology/Environmental Science/Environmental Engineering.

+ Postgraduate qualifications in hydrogeology or geochemistry are highly regarded.

+ Manual (open) driver's licence - essential.
