**About the role**:
You will be reporting to the Head of Customer & Community Relations, the primary responsibility of the role is to lead a team to build and maintain strategic relationships with key customers and their peak industry bodies, anticipate and interpret their business wants and needs and influence Water Corporation strategic plans, policies, processes and practices to deliver those needs.

**What the role will offer**:

- Lead and manage the Corporation’s framework for engaging with Key Customers
- Influence corporate direction and strategy for engaging the Corporation’s biggest customers
- Manage a team of experienced Customer and Stakeholder management professionals
- Coordinating the development of plans, support systems, tools and data for the management of key customers and their peak industry representatives
- Develop and deliver a program of regular engagement with key customers and provision of a single point of contact, providing advocacy for addressing their short and long-term needs, and proactively investigating and responding to issues and opportunities
- Establishing and maintaining strong networks within our business to ensure that key customer needs and sensitivities are fully understood and communicated effectively as part of planning, policy formulation and issues management processes
- Facilitating networking opportunities to ensure regular communication between key customer executives and Water Corporation senior managers

**Key skills and experience**:

- Tertiary level qualification in commerce, business, engineering or relevant discipline and substantial experience in and knowledge of leading and providing customer related services.
- Demonstrated capability to manage and lead a high performing team.
- Demonstrated knowledge of relationship management principles and practices relating to the Water Industry
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, negotiate and effectively influence key customers and internal stakeholders
- Demonstrate technical knowledge of metropolitan water and wastewater systems
