ASIC is seeking a full time Cloud Operations Lead to join their Transformation Office Digital, Data and Technology Team

The team
The People, Transformation & Technology Group is responsible for delivering transformational change across ASIC through investment in people, processes and technology. Bringing together our people, digital, data and technology teams supported by our enterprise program office, this group delivers transformational change while supporting our core technology environments and our people. Our Registry Interactions Services team and the Modernising Business Registers teams also form part of this portfolio.
The Information Technology team forms part of the Transformation Office, Digital, Data & Technology which is accountable for driving ASIC's transformation agenda, including the use of digital and data products as well as providing the technology platforms.

The role
- Be the technical lead for our operations team & mentor a team of cloud operations professionals
- Monitor and optimize cloud resources to ensure performance, cost-efficiency, and reliability.
- Implement best practices for cloud security, compliance, and data protection.
- Develop and implement monitoring and alerting systems for proactive issue resolution.
- Lead incident response efforts and participate in troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Implement and maintain disaster recovery plans.

About you
- Relevant tertiary and AWS certification.
- Demonstrated (3+ years) experience working with AWS and Azure public cloud services.
- Strong understanding of cloud security and monitoring and experience implementing best practices
- Demonstratable experience in delivering Infrastructure as code using Terraform, CloudFormation, Bedrock, GIT, Azure DevOps, Octopus, Puppet, Chocolatey, PowerShell and bash. Software packaging skills would be a bonus.
- Sound knowledge of core AWS service offerings such as EC2, Lambda, ECS, EKS, S3, EBS, RDS, DynamoDB, Aurora, VPC, Route 53, CloudFront, IAM, Cognito, KMS, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Config.
- Sound knowledge of core Azure service offerings such as VMs, Functions, AKS, Blob, NoSQL, File Storage, SQL, Cosmos, Virtual Network, Azure Traffic Manager, Azure Application Gateway, Azure Active Directory, Azure AD B2C, Azure Security Centre, Azure Key Vault, Azure Monitor, Azure Log Analytics.
