**What does it take to become a Civican?**

Here’s an exciting opportunity as a **Cloud Operations Manager **which allows you to closely work with our Local Government team. You will be reporting to the Chief Operating Officer for Local Government and managing a growing team of Cloud Operations specialists.

As we move our customers to our Cloud SaaS offerings we are growing our Cloud Operations teams, this role will form an essential part of our product offering.

**You have deep commercial experience in**:

- Manage team members to ensure a high-quality service is delivered.
- Provide leadership and guidance to implement industry best practices and processes including deployment, support and disaster recovery.
- Work with the team to develop skills, through development plans and formal and informal training.
- Analyse system performance and provide recommendations on improving our infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain documentation on processes and practices, develop reports on all aspects of our Cloud Infrastructure.
- Participate in compliance for ISO27001/9001 and SOC 2
- Ability to lead and manage across multiple geographies and time zones
- Review and implement security recommendations

Duties and responsibilities of your role may change from time to time to meet the needs and requirements of the business.

**A day in the life**

Being a Cloud Operations Manager, you will be liaising with other teams and communicating the relative priority of different work items within the Cloud team. You are responsible for planning and managing incoming dependencies in such a way that other teams are not blocked from achieving their planned outcomes.
- 5+ years’ experience in a similar role
- Proven track record of managing cloud operations teams
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate to all levels of staff
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently
- Excellent team player
- A passion for working with people and the ability to quickly build rapport
- Effective escalation management
- A creative approach to problem solving
- Effective Communication and negotiation skills at all levels, technical through to directors
- Process review and improvements
- Ability to coach, lead and mentor
