**THE OPPORTUNITY**

We have an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Analyst to join the team in Melbourne.

This position works closely with the Remuneration & Payroll Manager to assist in payroll related analysis and reporting. The Payroll Analyst will leverage their strong Payroll and legislative experience and partnering skills to proactively support the business to achieve its short and long term operational and financial objectives.

**Role responsibilities**
- Analysis of remuneration related data including time & attendance, wages and bonuses
- Perform necessary payroll reconciliations in a timely manner
- Extract, analyse and interpret large sets of data, driving improved quality and integrity
- Calculating complex pays and understanding of relevant awards and payroll legislation
- Providing a consultative approach working with key stakeholders
- Present insights and able to translate data into an understandable reports
- Assessment and maintenance of the employee level classifications
- Design, documentation and implementation of payroll procedures to streamline payroll processes and identify process improvement opportunities and improved controls

**Does this sound like you?**
- Min 5 years Payroll experience, having worked extensively in a Payroll environment
- Be confident in leading analytical projects
- Excellent Communication skills and High attention to detail
- Understanding of and experience interpreting awards
- Demonstrated fluency in Excel, Powerpoint and Word
- Experience in working in Award based organization is desirable.
