**Position Information**:
The NSW Department of Education provides, funds and regulates education services for NSW students from early childhood to secondary school, delivering world-class education through its public schools and providing funding support to non-government schools. We employ, develop and support teachers, leaders and other staff to deliver the best outcomes for students and to advance the wellbeing of Aboriginal people.
**About the Role**
The School Administrative Manager is responsible for the efficient management of school financial and administrative systems, as well as supervision and training of school administration officers. Manages the provision of support for school activities and routines, including student welfare and wellbeing, and works with the school principal, the school executive and teaching staff as required.
**Essential Requirements**
- Working with Children Check Clearance
- First Aid Certificate or willingness to undertake First Aid training.
- Administration of Medications - training to be provided based on student needs.

- Demonstrated capacity to exercise initiative, organise resources and meet deadlines.-
- Demonstrated ability to undertake financial and accounting responsibilities including use of computerised financial/administrative systems.-
- Effective oral and written communication skills.-
- Demonstrated ability to manage an office.-
- Ability to interact with school staff, students and members of the school community.-

**About the NSW Department of Education**
**Additional Information**
Peterborough School for Specific Purposes (SSP), located in Warilla NSW, supports students with additional learning needs. Peterborough School has a current enrolment of 112 students and supports students from Kindergarten to Year 12 with moderate to severe intellectual disability, and/or Autism. Students may have a secondary disability which could include sensory needs, vision or hearing impairment, physical impairment, complex mental health needs and behaviours. Staff are committed to delivering high quality education for all students. Of the current student enrolment, 11% of students identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander and 11% of students are learning English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EAL/D). A large percentage of students require significant communication and/or language support.
The SASS team is a vital part of our school community, providing strong support to teachers, students, staff, and families. Positive professional communication and relationships are essential to fostering a positive school culture. The entire SASS team consistently supports and contributes to school-wide events, programs, and initiatives. As the face of the school, the school office provides exceptional customer service, which is crucial to the school's operations and helps cultivate a welcoming and positive environment.
