Parks and Maintenance Team Member

Work alongside a Local Council and contribute to the upkeep of our community's green spaces as a Parks Maintenance Team Member. Be part of a dedicated team and maintain open space assets to create a safe and healthy environment.
**About the Role**
- Perform a range of horticultural tasks to maintain the Council's open space assets.
- Operate equipment like mowers, trimmers, and attachments.
- Evaluate work requirements, recommend necessary actions, and ensure compliance with standards.
- Work independently without direct supervision.
- Operate, adjust, and maintain parks maintenance tools and equipment.
- Operation of heavy mowing equipment; Toro wide-area mower, tractor and attachments (slasher/stealth mower)
- Working within the Broad acre mowing team maintaining grass in reserves and roadsides.
**Benefits**

- Monday to Friday, 38 hours per week.
- $33.65 per hour + Super.
**About You**
- Hold a Victorian Drivers Licence.
- Possess experience with small and medium horticultural equipment.
- Have familiarity with herbicide use.
- Hold a Trade Certificate (Level 3) in Horticulture or have relevant experience.
- Demonstrate knowledge of vegetation management, landscape construction, and maintenance.
- Select appropriate equipment and techniques for parks and garden maintenance.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
