Communications Officer

Maroochydore, Australia IPA Personnel Services Full time

IPA have a long-standing history of providing staff to the Queensland Government and are currently partnering with our client to recruit a **Communications Advisor **on the Sunshine Coast.

In this role, you will research and draft responses to ministerial and executive correspondence, and advise on, develop, implement and provide communications services.

**Some of your duties and responsibilities will include**:

- Provide communications services for executive correspondence, issues management, stakeholder relationship management, media relations and community engagement
- Coordinate, research, draft and edit communications materials, including responses to media enquiries, speech notes, parliamentary business, media statements and briefing notes
- Undertake community engagement and stakeholder consultation activities during project development and delivery
- Coordinate and update content of webpages
- Provide training, advice and support to regional staff and consultants

- Demonstrated previous experience in a similar communications role
- Ability to manage priorities, workload and deliverables of the team
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement, customer management and relationship building skills

**This role is full time hours, Monday to Friday, on a 12-month contract with the possibility of extension.**
