An exciting opportunity exists for a suitably qualified, dynamic, results-oriented finance professional with extensive experience in public sector financial management to join our Finance team at the NSW Health Education and Training Institute (HETI) in the Corporate Support and Business Partnerships Portfolio as a Finance Officer in a full-time permanent role.

**Where you'll be working**
The role is based in Sydney at 1 Reserve Road, St Leonards in a brand new, purpose-built campus that is well serviced by public transport and access to public parking. The building offers activity-based working conditions with agile and flexible workspaces and the latest in technology, modern end-of-trip facilities, and secure bicycle storage. There is an onsite cafe, and a 100-space childcare centre.

**What you'll be doing**
The Finance Officer supports the Senior Finance Business Partners in providing financial management and business functions for the HETI. The Finance Officer is generally the first point of contact for HETI staff with regards to the accounts payable and procurement process, advice and is responsible for a high-quality prompt and professional customer service support. Ability to communicate with a range of stakeholders and contribute to identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementation of best practice strategies are key to the role.

Reporting to the Director Finance and Business Support, you will be responsible for:

- Manage iProcurement, accounts payable, accounts receivable, Procurement Card, Cabcharge and intra-health processes following agreed organisational procedures, to ensure the accuracy and integrity of local processes and that all requests are processed in a timely manner.
- Develop and sustain an effective partnership with HealthShare Financial Services Team to ensure accounts payable, receivables and procurement process are managed effectively.
- Responsible for month-end reporting and reconciliation related tasks and review GL reconciliations prepared by Healthshare.
- Prepare month-end journals.
- Cash Management and Higher Education Tasks.
- Review and update system access, delegation hierarchies and reporting lines.
- Develop, implement and maintain financial procedures and user guides for review by the Senior Finance Business Partners.
- Assist with internal & external audit related tasks and other adhoc reports and duties.
- Contribute to the maintenance of Fixed Assets Register and support the Asset Management plans for HETI.
- Support and Assist the Senior Finance Business Partner and Director as required.
