We are seeking an experienced senior executive Human Resources professional to partner with Senior Management, their leadership teams and employees to foster a high performance, values driven culture, and provide high level advice and solutions across a broad range of human resources, learning, and wellbeing and safety matters.

Reporting to the Group Manager Finance and Performance and with 8 direct reports, you will:

- Lead, develop & implement HR strategies, policies, systems, procedures & initiatives aligning with overall business strategy including finalising Council’s EBA.
- Lead and drive high performance and staff engagement through Leadership Development, training & professional development, succession plans, Health & Wellbeing frameworks.
- Provide advice on all Human Resources employee relations (ER) and industrial relations (IR)] matters, wellbeing and performance coaching.
- Develop sound strategies and provide expert advice on attraction and retention of high performing staff.
- Provide high level advice and manage Worker Compensation matters liaising with relevant stakeholders on legal matters.
- Implement HR and Health & Safety systems and advise, analyse, implement, monitor & recommend improvements and actions to address concerns.
- Prepare, monitor & review Workforce Plan responding to integrated planning & reporting requirements.

To be successful in this role you will have:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or related area of study with substantial proven experience in a Senior HR managerial role with demonstrated experience in developing and implementing organisation development strategies and managing complex ER & IR issues (10+ years).

You will possess exceptional change management, interpersonal and communication skills with ability to engage, motivate and negotiate to actively contribute to building a high performing organisational people culture and model. You will have demonstrated success with seeking solutions to workplace improvements and promoting continuous learning and experience with salary systems and job evaluation methodology.

You will be required to possess a current Class ‘C’ Motor Vehicle Driver’s License.
