A temporary assignment has become available within a Government Department for an experienced Housing Officer, located in Logan. Starting ASAP, the role will be responsible for providing integrated housing and homelessness support services to vulnerable people. Duties will include:

- Customer service both face to face and via telephone enquiries
- Monitoring and managing rent and maintenance arrears, rent assessments, payment/refund arrangements, and actioning sundry debts and collections as required
- Conducting home visits to properties and investigating and facilitating the resolution of property maintenance, tenancy disputes and complaints (with supervision and training)
- Maintaining accurate customer and property records and file notes
- Ad hoc administrative tasks as required
- Previous administrative experience
- Excellent customer service and communication skills (both written and verbal)
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Sound keyboarding skills (minimum 40wpm at 98% accuracy)
- Intermediate MS Office skills and the ability to pick up new computer systems quickly
- Due to the nature and responsibilities of this position, consent to a national criminal history check will be required prior to any offer of employment being made (and any record of disclosable court outcomes or pending charges will be considered based on relevance to the position being applied for)._
