**ABOUT THE JOB**
In the role of Communications Advisor you will provide:

- Strategic community and stakeholder management services to technical and professional staff for community engagement, media relations, issues management, public affairs and stakeholder relationship management.
- Expert accountability for crisis and reputation management strategies and identification of key risks involved with departmental actions.
- Advice to Project Directors, managers and other staff in the areas of communications strategies for difficult stakeholders and critical conversations in relation to the project.
- Training, advice and support to project staff and consultants to enhance communication skills and improve relationships with key stakeholders and the community in the delivery of projects and initiatives.

**THE SUCCESFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE**:

- Current holder of a Class C driver’s licence with own vehicle to attend various sites throughout the course of your work.
- Previous experience in dealing with difficult stakeholders and critical conversations.
- A degree in communications, public relations or marketing or equivalent years work experience would be highly desirable.
- Experience in major infrastructure project environments and social media competency will also be highly regarded.
