We are seeking a talented Communication Advisor who will work in the Data61 team within Corporate Affairs at CSIRO. You'll be helping to inform and engage Data61 employees using creative communication strategies whilst contributing to external communication projects and campaigns.

To succeed in this role, you will be an experienced communicator who can think laterally about how communication can support and enhance the implementation of our employee engagement goals.

If you have a track record of influencing positive employee engagement and can design and deliver effective and creative internal/external communication plans, including developing and implementing strategies, writing material for various channels (including press releases, blogs, social media posts and web copy), managing issues, delivering campaign activities, building strong organisational networks and contributing to a positive change in organisational culture, then this might be the role for you

**Your duties will include**:

- Work with stakeholders to determine their needs, tailoring solutions to potentially conflicting requirements, taking personal responsibility for stakeholder satisfaction, and correcting problems promptly and in a constructive manner.
- Provide professional and strategic advice on communication and change issues which have a major impact on the operations of the work area, influence the decisions of managers, and have a measurable impact on the Business Unit’s activities.
- Develop and implement contemporary communication plans with a focus on areas including:

- Employee engagement and stakeholder engagement
- Change management
- Track and monitor key metrics to evaluate the success of communications plans and tactics to inform decision making and assess campaign effectiveness.

**Location**:Open to be based in Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane, Sydney, Perth or Canberra

**Salary**:AU$89,680 - AU$101,459 plus up to 15.4% superannuation

**Tenure**:Specified term of 12 Months

**To be considered you will need**:

- A relevant tertiary qualification and relevant experience in communications - PR, communications, marketing, digital, media or journalism.
- 5+ years' experience developing and implementing communication strategies.
- Demonstrated experience developing digital channel strategies or implementing new channels.
- Demonstrated experience managing integrated and creative internal and external communication campaigns.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal with demonstrated ability to communicate complex data.
- The ability to manage multiple deadlines whilst maintaining excellent attention to detail and quality focus and operate well in an often complex, ambiguous and fast-moving environment.
- The ability to work effectively independently and also as a member of a team, collaborate widely both internally and externally, and provide guidance to managers and staff.

Desirable:

- Demonstrated experience with content management systems and videography and photography skills, including post-production video and photo editing.
