Situated at their Flagship stores in Thomastown, his trade sales position is a great opportunity for someone that has a trade behind them and wants to get into the Sales space, or for someone who has retail experience behind them and a strong interest in the trade space.

A great opportunity has come up for a hybrid role that is the perfect opportunity for someone to combine their retail sales skills and over time, step up to an account management position, by servicing enterprise customers and providing an over and above level of customer service.

They are Melbourne's leading supplier of installation and finishing products to the timber flooring industry, with everything from tools, machinery, flooring, adhesives, primers, to stains and sandpaper. Having an extremely loyal customer base that spans back for years, their stores (in Richmond and Thomastown) are a place that feel like 'home' to their customers, providing expertise, familiarity and comfort. They have worked hard to establish a vast following of customers and always go over and above to keep these relationships going, whilst always welcoming new ones.

**Description**

**To be successful in this position**
- You will have a proven and committed sales focus and be prepared to exceed customer expectations
- Outstanding customer service skills that come naturally and authentically
- Possess outstanding customer service skills
- Trade counter sales or time on a trade site will be highly beneficial
- Be well presented, have a good phone manner and possess good communication skills
- You must be able to work with mínimal supervision and have an eye for detail and the capacity to meet deadlines and follow tasks to completion
- You must perform at your peak under pressure and be able to make quick decisions when needed
- Ability to confidentially engage with customers on their trade sites as you visit them with stock and provide stock demonstrations
- A roll up your sleeves mentality where everyone works as a team and contributes

**Profile**

As well as a positive, can do attitude, the considerations for this role include:

- Invoicing for goods purchased with small and large accounts
- Ensure that all data in MYOB is accurate. This includes all quotes, orders & invoices.
- Trade sales experience would be highly beneficial but not essential
- A willingness to learn and go above and beyond for the customer

**Job Offer**

Hours of work are Monday to Friday (either 7am-4pm or 8am-5pm) with the requirement to work 2 Saturdays a month from 8.30am - 1pm.
