**What is a Community Centres and Venues -Marketing Officer for Hume?**

Working as part of the City Life department the Community Centres and venues -Marketing Officer has responsibility to assist the Venues and Community Centres team in implementing effective marketing strategies, creating print media and ensure maximum utilisation of each venue.

Objectives of a Community Centres and venues -Marketing Officer might include but not limited to:

- To plan and deliver all aspects of promotions and marketing activities for Council's Community Centres and Venues, including advertising, direct marketing, publicity, online and e-marketing, social engagement and branding.
- To support the development and implementation of engagement plans and activation activities that identify, grow and diversify facility users/hirers.
- To promote and market the Community Centres and Venues to service providers and community groups to ensure their maximum utilisation.
- To support the planning, development and distribution of market research initiatives including customer surveys and feedback forms etc.
- Facilitate the engagement and participation of facility users/local community regarding Community Centre/Venue services and programs.

**About You**

As a Community Centres and venues -Marketing Officer, you will have demonstrable skills and qualifications including but not limited to:

- A degree or diploma in Marketing (or a related discipline) or lesser formal qualifications with relevant work skills with a sound understanding of marketing and customer/audience development and engagement strategies and practices.
- Demonstrated skills in planning and executing marketing activities, print and digital communications that engage, inform and motivate.
- Demonstrated experience in developing online communications and social media profile in a local government or private sector environment.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate both verbally and in written form to a broad range of people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
- Demonstrated skills in managing time, setting priorities and managing a number of tasks or projects simultaneously, so as to achieve a broad range of outcomes with mínimal direction.
