The Pay Assurance Team (PAT) at Lendlease Australia help to maximise the employee pay experience and facilitate pay compliance and continuous improvement on pay related matters. With diverse skills across payroll, people & culture, employment, industrial relations and quality assurance, the PAT assist with managing compliance risks to the business around pay. Reporting to the Pay Assurance Manager you will be responsible for providing sound and best practice advice on pay assurance matters working in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team comprising HR, payroll and audit expertise.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Monitoring changes to legislation and escalation of critical interpretation matters to key stakeholders.- Partner with P&C to provide training and education on EBAs, Awards and pay compliance for the business, P&C and payroll.- Facilitate and maintain a stakeholder network to assist with communication between departments and act as a support network to oversee pay assurance through the employee lifecycle.- Provide advice on practicality of changes to EBAs and actively be involved during the negotiation process to provide a pay assurance lens.- Escalation of Award or EBA interpretation matters to business IR, Group IR or external legal partners for resolution as needed.- Liaise with IR teams to ensure processes and practices are up to date, compliant and consistent across our Australian business units.- Monitor and respond to internal business stakeholders that raise pay compliance queries.
About you:
- Relevant experience gained from within a Payroll, Compliance, Audit, People & Culture or Employee Relations function.-
- Understanding of Payroll and HR compliance practices and procedures and/or knowledge of Payroll, HR, and WFM systems.- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate across all levels of the organisation.- Be comfortable multi-tasking and switching rapidly between diverse tasks and assignments.
