The Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA) is a statutory body responsible to the Victorian Minister for Education, serving both government and non-government schools. We provide high quality curriculum, assessment and reporting for all Victorian student's birth to 18 years.
An exciting opportunity exists to join the Curriculum Division in the Curriculum Managers Unit in an ongoing position.
- Salary: $134,593 - $180,115 (Plus Superannuation 11.5%)
- Ongoing role in a passionate team
- Usual work location: East Melbourne (flexible work conditions maybe/are available)
About the Role
As the Curriculum Manager - Humanities, you will provide high-level expertise, professional leadership, policy advice, and strategic direction for the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA) in relation to the humanities curriculum and assessment from the early years to senior secondary. With your adept stakeholder management skills, you will elevate educational standards and drive improved curriculum outcomes.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Managing internal and external stakeholders, building relationships, identifying needs, resolving issues.
- Preparing and responding to correspondence, presenting discussion papers, submissions, reports and briefings for committees, expert bodies, ministers or key decision-makers.
- Collaborating with other VCAA Divisions and sectors to enhance the overall impact and accessibility of curriculum resources.
- Provide training and support to educators in effectively implementing geography curriculum resources in their schools.
- Analyse feedback from educators, students, and stakeholders to continually refine and improve curriculum and curriculum support materials.
- Understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design, and program management
